That Time I Made Small-Sized Pizza

So I was craving Pizza, but I was too lazy to go buy at Pizza hut at Admiralty in Lekki (they have the best Pizza on the island). I had all the ingredients, it was weekend, there were visitors in the house, so it was time for #DantesWeekendCooking.

So It was a Beef Pizza (‘cos there was minced meat in the fridge), I always have Pasta Sauce in the fridge and Mozzarella and Cheddar cheese. Everything was ready, except the hard part: THE DOUGH. Thankfully, this was not the first time i was making Pizza dough, so it was a breeze. So it was just dough, cooked minced meat with some veggies, some Pasta sauce and top it with cheese. Cook in the oven. Bon Appetite!

Dough all prepped up. Ignore my hand print (or use it as scale)

Ingredients

For Pizza Dough

  • Unbleached Flour (2 cups)
  • Yeast (2 teaspoons)
  • Water (1 1/2 half cups)
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Sugar

The Minced Meat

  • Minced meat
  • Onions
  • Preferable Seasoning

Toppings

  • Pasta or Marinara sauce
  • Cheese
  • Any other Preferable pizza topping (Yes, Pineapple, yes)
So I didn’t make it look like a traditional Pizza.
Ready to eat (Saucer can be used to scale)

Directions

  1. Mix the dough ingredients together by hand or use a hand-held or stand mixer.
  2. Knead by hand or beat the dough with your mixer. I prefer using the mixer, less stress tbh.
  3. Place dough into a mixing bowl greased with oil, cover tightly, and set aside to rise for about 90 minutes or overnight in the refrigerator.
  4. Punch down risen dough to release air bubbles. Divide in 2.
  5. For the meat, just saute some onions in oil then add the spices. add meat till its all turned brown.
  6. Roll dough out into a 12-inch circle. Cover and rest as you prep the pizza toppings.
  7. Top with favorite pizza toppings.
  8. Bake pizza at a very high temperature for only about 15 minutes.
