So I Got Curious & Pickled some Cucumber

Yea I got super curious and wanted to taste Pickled cucumber. The last time I ate it, it was in one Lagos Restaurant (Almost died). So I decided to make my own.

Two words “WORTH IT”

Ingredients

  • Seedless Cucumbers
  • Vinegar (White and/or Red wine)
  • Salt
  • Brown Sugar
  • Water
  • Basil leaves

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Wash and drain cucumbers. Sterilize jars. Here is a link about how to do that properly.
  2. Fill up the jars with the cucumbers
  3. In a big pot, bring vinegar to a boil together with salt and brown sugar. Boil for only 2-3 minutes, then add the basil leaves. Set aside to cool for about 10 minutes.
  4. Pour the liquid over the cucumbers to fill the jars.
  5. Seal the jars and store them in a cool place above freezing temperatures.
  6. These cucumbers will not ferment.
